Sobrero

The Sobreros began as farmers, even before becoming winemakers, and even today they directly cultivate the grapes from which their wines are made. The family owns approximately 20 hectares of vineyards, located almost entirely on their own land in the municipality of Castiglione Falletto, in the province of Cuneo. The Sobreros' love for Castiglione is visceral and is primarily due to two reasons: the first, undoubtedly sentimental, is that their ancestors have lived in this medieval village for several centuries. The second, perhaps even more important, is that the territory of this municipality is located in the heart of the Barolo production zone, allowing all the best characteristics of the surrounding municipalities to be found in the wine produced here. It is said that the Barolo of Castiglione Falletto has the elegance and aromas of those produced in La Morra and Barolo, but at the same time is more alcoholic, robust, and long-lived, just like those of Monforte d'Alba and Serralunga d'Alba.
