Cingilia

Fabio Di Donato is a young producer who in the early nineties was able to transform, in a short time, the small family farm, dedicated to the cultivation of olives, into a winery. The Cingilia winery is located in Cugnoli, in the province of Pescara, in the south-eastern end of the Gran Sasso massif, about 30 km from the sea. Thanks to the particular microclimate that characterizes the area, with harsh winters and very dry, windy and hot summers, and to the variety of a terrain that ranges from alluvial deposits, mainly gravelly, to clayey and calcareous hilly areas, Fabio manages to obtain the best from the many types of vines cultivated. Today there are four hectares of vineyards and the training system is the classic Pergola Abruzzese. In the winery the work is reduced to a minimum, with the sole aim of respecting the typicality of the vine and enhancing the characteristics of the terroir.
