The Gentili farm was founded in 1979 by Carlo Gentili, who, with limited funds but great determination, gradually built a winery within a 15th-century courtyard and planted vineyards in the surrounding lands, nestled between Monte Baldo and Lake Garda. For thirty years, the entire production was sold in bulk to other wineries, but from 2010 onward, under the direction of his children Enrico and Elisa, the company began a journey to enhance its viticultural and oenological potential through the recovery of old local grape varieties and traditional cultivation methods. Although the company has not yet applied for organic certification, it believes that every agricultural production should respect nature and consumer health. For this reason, for many years it has sought to reduce and at times eliminate harmful practices, instead embracing traditional good practices that help revive an agricultural system rich in biodiversity and respect for the soil, the vine, water resources, and human labor.
