Cavedini
The Cavedini family's love and passion for viticulture are ancient and have been passed down through generations. It was from this tradition that the Corte Cavedini winery was founded in 1966, when Umberto accepted his father Guido's challenge to promote Valpolicella wines by cultivating his own vineyards and combining tradition, innovation, history, and the local culture. Today, he is supported by his children Marco and Elena. The winery, based in Marcellise, owns eight hectares of hillside vineyards, located in the immediate vicinity of the winery at an altitude ranging from 110 to 180 meters, with east-west and southeast exposure. The soil is predominantly calcareous, and the vines are cultivated using integrated systems to minimize the use of chemicals. Vineyard management, pruning, and harvesting are all done by hand.
