Jankara

The path that led to the birth of this winery is similar to that of many other Sardinian entrepreneurial activities. Young people who emigrate abroad are successful, but the bond with their land is so strong that it pushes them to return to create something important. It is the story of Renato Spanu and Jankara, a winemaking reality that was born in 2006 and that already from the name chosen highlights the founder's pride in his origins, as it is nothing other than the crasis of the toponyms Jannaca and Karana indicating the crus in which the grandfather's vineyards were located. Today the company can count on a property of about 8 hectares of vineyards located on the hills of Alta Gallura, where the granite soil, the strong temperature range between night and day and the presence of almost constant winds allow the grapes to reach important levels of complexity and maturity.
