Tiezzi

The estate's origins are closely tied to the life of Professor Riccardo Paccagnini, ancestor of the Tiezzi family, considered a "Brunello pioneer." He is credited with the creation and marketing of the first wine labeled "Brunello" in 1870, which earned numerous awards, including beyond the Alps. The current estate, founded in the 1980s by Enzo Tiezzi, an agronomist and oenologist, extends across 10 hectares, including 3 hectares of olive groves and 6 hectares of vineyards, divided into three estates: Cerrino, Cigaleta, and Soccorso, the heart and jewel of the estate. Enzo Tiezzi's production philosophy is traditional, with the grapes fermented in wooden vats and aged in large Slavonian oak barrels. The three vineyards are located in different areas of the Montalcino area: Cerrino and Cigaleta are located 3 km from Montalcino at 350 meters above sea level; Vigna Soccorso, on the other hand, is adjacent to the center of Montalcino, at 500 meters above sea level, and is cultivated using the bush vine system to limit production and enhance its aesthetic appearance.
