Lugana

Lugana is the white wine par excellence of the southern shore of Lake Garda and its production involves a territorial area that includes the five municipalities of Desenzano, Lonato, Peschiera del Garda, Pozzolengo and Sirmione.

It is produced thanks to an indigenous vine called Trebbiano di Lugana: it is a Trebbiano that has peculiar genetic characteristics, which differentiate it from other Trebbianos. Lugana has a pale straw yellow color, with greenish reflections while the aromas are delicately floral, with a hint of almond notes. On the palate it is fresh, pleasantly citrusy and long. The minimum alcohol content is 11 degrees and the recommended serving temperature varies between 12° and 13° centigrade. Food pairing: lean appetizers, fish risotto, lake fish, some types of pizza. Excellent as an aperitif.
