Sobrero

The Sobrero family began as farmers, even before becoming winemakers, and still today they personally cultivate the grapes from which their wines are made. The family controls about 20 hectares of vineyards, located almost entirely on land they own in the municipality of Castiglione Falletto, in the Province of Cuneo. The Sobrero’s love for Castiglione is deep and stems mainly from two reasons: the first, certainly emotional, lies in the fact that their ancestors have lived in this medieval village for several centuries. The second, perhaps even more important, is that this municipality is located in the heart of the Barolo production area, which allows the wines produced here to reflect all the best characteristics of the surrounding towns. It is said that the Barolo from Castiglione Falletto has the elegance and aromas of those produced in La Morra and Barolo, while at the same time being more alcoholic, robust, and long-lived, much like those from Monforte d’Alba and Serralunga d’Alba.
