Fabio Di Donato is a young producer who, in the early 1990s, quickly transformed his family's small olive farm into a winery. The Cingilia winery is located in Cugnoli, in the province of Pescara, at the southeastern edge of the Gran Sasso massif, approximately 30 km from the sea. Thanks to the area's unique microclimate—cold winters and very dry, breezy, and hot summers—and the diverse soils, ranging from predominantly gravelly alluvial deposits to hilly, clayey and calcareous areas, Fabio is able to bring out the best in the many grape varieties he cultivates. Currently, there are four hectares of vineyards, and the training system is the classic Abruzzo Pergola. In the winery, work is kept to a minimum, with the sole aim of respecting the varietal's character and enhancing the characteristics of the terroir.
