Nunzio Ghiraldi

The company, founded in 1953 in Lugana di Sirmione, in the province of Brescia, takes its name from the engineer from Cremona who purchased the 20 hectares of Podere Sant'Onorata with the intention of cultivating the native Turbiana vine. In 1995 the Ghiraldi family decided to expand the estate with the acquisition of 15 hectares of vineyard land and with the purchase of an old farmhouse from the 1600s, which they renovated and equipped with modern equipment to transform it into a winemaking cellar. Today the choice of Nunzio, the founder's namesake grandson, is to focus on integrated viticulture, consequently no herbicides are used on the land, only manure is fertilized and the harvest is manual.
