The Bardolino Chiaretto Sparkling Wine Méthode Classique Dosage Zero by Gentili is one of those wines that genuinely surprises even the most experienced palates — because those expecting the light, fruity freshness of still Chiaretto find themselves facing something entirely different: a rosé vinified with the rigour and complexity of the Méthode Classique, with zero sugar added at disgorgement.

Gentili is a Lake Garda producer who had the courage to bring the second-fermentation-in-bottle method — the same used for Champagne and Franciacorta — to a grape variety and territory traditionally associated with fresh, immediately approachable wines. The Corvina and Rondinella grapes, vinified as a rosé with brief skin maceration, produce a base wine of outstanding natural freshness and acidity, perfectly suited to withstand the extended lees ageing that the Méthode Classique demands.

The Dosage Zero — the purest and most austere style among Méthode Classique wines, with no liqueur d'expédition added — amplifies the acidity and minerality of the wine, making it bone dry, precise and vertical. On the nose it is elegant and surprising: small fresh red fruits (wild strawberry, raspberry), rose petals, citrus, bread crust and yeast — the unmistakable perfume of a great traditional-method sparkling wine. On the palate it is vibrant, with an ultra-fine and persistent perlage, an almost razor-sharp acidity and a long, sapid finish. A meditation wine as much as a luxury aperitivo.

One of the most original and courageous wines in the entire Emporio Divino selection — for those who love sparkling wine and want to discover something that exists nowhere else.
