copy of Amarone della Valpolicella - Leon - Latium
The Amarone Leon by Ilatium represents a contemporary vision of this great Veronese wine: respectful of tradition, but with a more accessible and immediate style that sacrifices nothing in terms of complexity. It is the entry Amarone in the Ilatium range — the wine that introduces you to the world of great dried-grape wines from this estate, before tackling the even greater depth of the Due Mori.
Produced from selected Corvina and Corvinone grapes, the wine ferments slowly and ages in barrique to develop spiced and vanilla notes that integrate seamlessly with the fruit. On the nose: ripe cherry, dried plum, vanilla and cloves. On the palate it is warm and enveloping, with soft tannins and a persistent finish of cacao and mint. Perfect as a high-value gift or for celebrating important occasions.
