The love and passion for viticulture are ancient in the Cavedini family and have been passed down for generations. It is from this tradition that the Corte Cavedini company was born in 1966, when Umberto took up from his father Guido the challenge of enhancing the wines of Valpolicella, cultivating his own vineyards and combining tradition, innovation, history and culture of the territory. Today, he is supported by his children Marco and Elena. The company, which is based in Marcellise, owns eight hectares of vineyards in a hilly position, located in the immediate vicinity of the winery at an altitude that varies between 110 and 180 meters with an East-West and South-East exposure. The soil is mainly of calcareous origin and the vines are cultivated with integrated systems in order to minimize the use of chemical products. The management of the vineyard, pruning and harvesting are done by hand.
