A mountain Nebbiolo, born among the the rugged terraces of Valtellina and produced by a young winery that has chosen to bring old vineyards and ancient lands back to life.
Muràchi takes its name from the stone accumulations that characterize Valtellina's historic terraces. It is here, on the slopes of the Baruffini area in the municipality of Tirano, that Alessandro and Stefano of Radìs they cultivate Chiavennasca, the name by which Nebbiolo is known in Valtellina, on vineyards that reach almost 700 meters above sea level. A difficult task, carried out largely by hand, that perfectly represents what is known as heroic viticulture.
In the glass, Muràchi surprises with its freshness and lightness. The aromatic profile recalls small red fruits, wild strawberry, and raspberry, accompanied by delicate spicy, citrus, and aromatic herb notes. On the palate, it is fresh, savory, and dynamic, with fine tannins and an especially pleasant drinkability.
The winemaking follows a philosophy that leaves room for the vineyard's expression: a short fermentation on the skins followed by aging in steel helps preserve the freshness and fragrance of Valtellina Nebbiolo.
It is a red wine that tells the story of Valtellina without needing to be heavy or muscular. Fine, fresh, and expressive of its terroir, it is perfect for anyone who wants to discover a more supple interpretation of Nebbiolo and be surprised by how elegant a wine born in the high mountains can be.
At the table, it is fantastic with the flavors of its homeland: Valtellina cured meats, bresaola, pizzoccheri, mushrooms, roasted and grilled meats, and fresh or medium-aged cheeses.
What captivated us most was the story behind this bottle: young winemakers, old terraces, manual work, and the desire to preserve an agricultural heritage that risked being abandoned. It is exactly the kind of winery we look for to Emporio diVino.
An authentic mountain Nebbiolo, fresh and full of character. A bottle for discovering Valtellina through its roots.

Vinificazione
