Può sviluppare profumi floreali e agrumati, accompagnati da sensazioni minerali, e possiede una particolare attitudine all'affinamento. È il vitigno protagonista della Côte des Blancs.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIl \u003cstrong\u003ePinot Noir\u003c\/strong\u003e contribuisce invece con \u003cstrong\u003estruttura, corpo, vinosità e profondità\u003c\/strong\u003e. È fondamentale nella Montagne de Reims e nella Côte des Bar e rappresenta la base di numerosi Blanc de Noirs.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIl \u003cstrong\u003eMeunier\u003c\/strong\u003e apporta maggiore \u003cstrong\u003erotondità, morbidezza e componente fruttata\u003c\/strong\u003e. Poiché la fermentazione avviene all'interno della bottiglia chiusa, la CO₂ rimane disciolta nel vino e dà origine alla caratteristica effervescenza.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSuccessivamente il vino rimane \u003cstrong\u003ea contatto con i lieviti\u003c\/strong\u003e, sviluppando progressivamente maggiore complessità.
